This arts facility houses the Louisiana State University (LSU) Museum of Art, the LSU Museum Store, the Manship Theatre, Hartley/Vey Studio and Workshop Theatres, LSU School of Art Glassell Gallery, two sculpture gardens, and a rooftop terrace with great views of the Mississippi River. We came to the Shaw Center for a wedding. What a beautiful venue with a view of the Mississippi River. We got a little lost trying to find our way around inside, but the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Lots of different artistic styles housed in an interesting building with great views across the Mississippi River. Great to see a place like this specialising in the arts right in the middle of downtown.
We loved the catering and the view of the Mississippi river and the bridge was breathtaking. The staff was very friendly and prompt and the restrooms were very clean.
The whole center is very nice especially the Manship Theatre. The deck on the third floor is a great vantage point for the July
4th fireworks show. The Manship is cozy with excellent acoustics. Do not forget the soushi and rooftop deck on the top.
We ordered drinks at the bar in Tsunami's...the rooftop restaurant, and went straight out to the terrace to enjoy a fabulous view of the Mississippi River. The terrace is large with numerous seating areas and plenty of room to grab a spot by the railing to take in a beautiful sunset. This a very romantic spot and would recommend for...
