One doesn't expect authentic Chinese food in the middle of the High Desert, but to be honest the Shanghai Restaurant food is pretty poor even as far as Americanized Chinese restaurants go. I havnt tried much on the menu but we get food from here about once or twice a month. We've always had fresh great tasting food. I love their chicken fried rice. And the prices are good too! Much better food and service than the other Chinese place in town.

Finally some Chinese food in the desert. Great prices, Sweet and Sour Pork is great, service is quick, popular with locals. Bottled beers and other liquors served.

My favorite Chinese place. Fresh vegetables cooked impeccably. Meats are good and tender, not the gristle and knuckles that you usually get at Chinese restaurants. Owner is kind and attentive, and remembers what you had last time you were there. Amazing place. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
