I spent the day in Wheaton at the Outdoor French Market, with friends. I finished the day up having a sandwich at Shane's Deli. The staff was amazing and the deli meat was fresh. Only downside is no public restroom.

Shane's Deli is some what of a legend in the Wheaton area, fantastic subs, awesome wraps, and special soups. If your in the Wheaton area around lunch you must stop by and visit.

met a friend for lunch - they really try and move the line through on lunch. busy but fairly fast. I had the turkey rueben - it had a woman's name. It was very good.
This is a nice local place for sandwiches. Fresh quality ingredients. Lots of windows to people watch! It was a little warm... hot day and...

Shanes is always crowded because they have the best sandwiches in Wheaton. Waiting in line is always worth it. I love their Reuben sandwich. The place is not fancy, but the food is declicious! It's in an old converted fast food restaurant - they have some indoor and some outdoor seeting.

A vegetarian reviews a deli, here goes... I had a very hearty veggie panini for lunch. The sandwich was $4.75 for a very generous portion. But the soda was $1.50! They use deli-fresh ingredients and you can build your own monster sandwich. They have outdoor seating but Memorial Park and Adams park are nearby also. -
