16 Restaurants To Find Housemade Charcuterie In Chicago

Chicago is a big meat town, everyone knows that. But until recent years the city wasn't known for its charcuterie. Now, the process of curing and/or smoking meats or the creating of pâtés and terrines is, while not commonplace, far more plentiful. In honor of Eater's Five Days of Meat, the below map lists the top restaurants whose chefs are taking great pains in delivering artisanal, in-house...

Sommeliers' Top 11 Chicago Wine Lists, Mapped

Wine may not be as trendy as craft beer these days, but many Chicago restaurants can still build a great list. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. The food and drinks were fantastic; service was fast and nice. Loved that the music and noise in the restaurant was low enough that we could have a conversation. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is such a gem! I have been probably 6 times and every time has been a wonderful experience. It is so consistently wonderful. The service is top notch, the food is some of the best in the city, and the atmosphere is perfect for any celebration. Don't miss this place if you consider yourself a foodie.

Great choice for our trip to Chicago! The wait staff was highly attentive to our needs and quick to pull out chairs, place napkins, and fill water. The food was excellent and wine pairings were well matched. The only reason I gave Sepia four stars is because the couple sitting behind us was fighting loudly enough for my husband and I to hear. Their conflict distracted from our time together,...

Sepia's wine list and menu are a delight: plenty of variety, high quality and while not inexpensive, certainly within reason. This was our second visit to this warm, inviting restaurant and we will certainly be back. The service was impeccable, every dish we ordered beautifully presented and well prepared, and the ambience of the main dining room is exceptional. The bar is also cozy. Every...

Originally a 19th Century print shop, Sepia blends details from the past with the sophistication of the present. Exposed bricks, smoked glass, shades of brown, and food served on natural wood and cast iron pans instead of plates all give Sepia a rustic-chic ambiance. The food is American comfort with a contemporary twist, and is made with organic and/or sustainable ingredients whenever...
