My experience with Mexican food anywhere I've ever lived before NJ (SC, MS, MO) is that it is good and relatively cheap. I guess the cost of living in NJ forces that construct out the window because we have yet to find a decent, affordable, Mexican restaurant anywhere in the northern part of the state. Sadly, Selenita applies as well....

I just popped in for chili rellenos to take home. Fabulous ! Family run. The place was half full even on a Tuesday! I've eaten here before, and appreciate the BYOB :)

My husband and I eat across the street at Monica's a lot. We saw the restaurant a few times and decided to try it.
Selenitas is nicely decorated and festive.
The menu has many selections to please just about everyone.
We tried the Pollo a la Selina ans the Pollo en Mole Poblana.

Food is always fresh and delicious. They give you more than enough to eat.

An Authentic Family Mexican Restaurant

We've been going here for about a year now consistently. I'm a vegetarian and they have always made something off the menu for me whether I want veggie fajitas, a veggie burrito, or veggie tacos with rice and black beans on the side. My husband likes the skirt steak with shrimp the best. Their guacamole is always fresh and delicious....
