Help us make it rightI pass Twirly Top on my way to and from work, and I stop by frequently for an ice cream or snack on the way home. The food is good. Yes, it takes a bit of time for the hot food to be ready, but it is well worth the wait! The ice cream is always served up very quickly....
The Twirly Top was finally sold. The ice cream is still good and the sundae's with the fresh fruit are tasty. One thing to be aware of, they are closed on Sundays. To me, that is a mistake as most traffic would be coming past on a weekend, but that is their decision. Still worth a stop if you can.
I will qualify the "slow-ish service" (only for the hot food side) by saying that perhaps we are all a little too used to getting everything fast these days. My daughter & I ordered the Bacon Cheese Fries and it did take a bit (no more than 15 minutes), but they were fresh, hot, and delicious. We got our milkshake...
We stopped by for lunch for the first time on our way to Laurel Lake. It cost me $13 and change for a chili dog, chicken nuggets and a small fry with two drinks. It took and entire half hour to prepare the food and when it finally came out my hot dog was cold and the fries were so...
