I took my 79 year old mother to celebrate her birthday over brunch. Despite a disappointing couple of mimosas, the staff was bery accommodating to my mom's request for just one crabcake on her crabcakes benedict. Wonderful brunch. No crowds

Came at ten am Sunday morning. Nobody there. Prompt service. Strong coffee. The wife loved her bloody mary and French toast. I had the huevos rancheros with added chorizo. Different from the traditional version but amazingly good. Chorizo was kinda flavorless though oddly. Go for brunch. It's wonderful.

Scion is a nice spot to enjoy Happy Hour drinks on a Friday. It is located in a residential area which is cute. I would recommend sitting outside on a nice day, of course. There is a nice beer...

Going Away Lunch

Threw a going away luncheon for a co-worker here. Hadn't tried it before because it's in an apartment building, but I'd heard good things. The food and the noise level were good. I think our waitress was stretched a little thin, but it wasn't too bad. Had the Surf & Turf Burger. It was good!

I am not sure how long Scion in SS has been open but it made a good first impression. While they did not have an outside patio like Dupont, the inside dining room is spacious and the bar is also much nicer (in my opinion).
Like the first Scion in DC, beers are given a strong presence. The beer list...
