The food, wine, service and atmosphere at San Pietro are all outstanding, although it is quite expensive to dine here. Flowers fill the elegant dining room, and outdoor dining is also available. Antipasti popular in Naples and on the Amalfi coast of Italy are on the menu, which includes Rolled Eggplant and Tomatoes in Mushroom Sauce, Warm Prawns in Oyster Sauce, and Porcini Mushrooms with White...

"Filled with CEOs" and "older sophisticates" at lunch, this "top-notch" Southern Italian is a Midtown "class act" offering "sumptuous" cuisine and "treat-you-like-royalty" service; it's "wildly costly", however, so it helps if "money is no object."
Award-winning Italian cuisine is on offer at San Pietro, which has been proclaimed to be "the best and most authentic Italian restaurant outside of Italy" by the Italian government themselves (we smell graft). Indoors and out, San Pietro resonates with the sunny ambience and flavors of the Amalfi Coast. The four Bruno brothers add to that by showering guests with a warm welcome. We enjoyed lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. The food is always good with gracious service. It is on the pricier side, but sometimes it's worth a splurge!! I had a burrata salad and lemon veal. My husband opted for the veal chop and LOVED it!
Walked by this place many times but never saw it. Then was invited by a regular...fabulous wine list, terrific service, excellent pasta and fish...highly recommend but expensive...another quiet NYC gem.
