I abhor this Safeway. Unfortunately it is the nearest grocery store to my home and work, so sometimes due to time constraints I end up having to shop there against my better judgement. Extremely long lines at checkout. Go to customer services, good lucking finding a manager. The place always smells at night. It seems their fish and meat departments are cleaned at that time. I would avoid this store.

Pretty mediocre. Seems like there's always huge lines, things without prices, expired dairy on the shelves, etc. Not a ton of competition, so it is what it is.

The customer service is lacking. They always seem to be bothered when you need them to do something. That's after they finally come out of their little office. Bought some steaks. Opened them up two days before the sell by date and they were bad. Discolored grey look. Not what I wanna eat after spending 30 bucks on three steaks. Never again.

This is a really large Safeway location not far from Downtown Livermore, and it also has a gas station nearby. Large bakery section, deli, wine, and sushi section along with your usual departments and necessities. Self-checkout lanes haven't been a problem for me when I happen to stop by.
