Stephen Brooks of Safeside Chimney arrived at my house at 10:26am I invited him in and he entered the property. I showed him the flue. He then left and returned to my door at 10:43am with an estimate in hand. He asked if he could take our old chimney stack. I asked why he began to explain something about fitting then my wife came down the stairs and asked what is going on. He asked her if he could take the chimney stack and she said no what is going on? He began explaining the estimate and issue with our chimney but his voice was elevated. My wife asked him to please lower his voice I do not want my neighbors knowing my business. He replied what does it matter its a chimney and continued to speak at the same elevated volume. My wife turned looked at me, obviously offended, and walked away. Stephen Brooks took offense to this and then handed me the estimate and walked away briskly and took it upon himself to take my chimney stack off my property. When I approached the Safeside Chimney I spoke with Gail who accused me of lying and told me they with return the property when it was convenient for them. She also had Stephen Brooks call me screaming at me that he did nothing of the sort which is hard to maintain when I have evidence to the contrary. He accused me of wasting his time and hung up on me.
The duct cleaning was something new to me, but the young man explained what he was doing and how things worked. I was satisfied with everything.
Clean, efficient and on time. No hassle guys that got the job done.
