BUYER BEWARE OF SAFARI SCOOTER -- I purchased a Verona 150cc motorcycle by TNG from Patricia “Trish” Glatter when she co-owned, “Have Scooter Will Travel”. The cost of the motorcycle/scooter was $3,433.55. When I tried to contact Ms. Glatter, I discovered the company had closed. I have only had trouble with the motorcycle. This experience has robbed me of money, time, riding joy, peace of mind and savings during these harsh economic times.
Ms. Glatter resurfaces as “Sahari Scooter.” I took it in and was charged $500 (because the bike was past its warranty period). Their mechanics have been unable to resolve the overheating issue and while sitting in their shop, a new problem developed -- the brakes stop working. Ms. Glatter's mechanics worked on the brake situation for weeks and when we went to pick it up, the brakes still didn't work. Ms. Glatter took our money and threw us out the store. We called the police and 2 metro cars came to our aid. The police said that there was nothing they could do and advised us to contact the BBB and file a civil complaint.
Ms. Glatter sold me the bike and she should stand behind the products she sells. She should work with the manufacturer to get my bike running properly at no additional cost to me. Since the brakes still don't work, the bikes continues to sit waiting for repair -- I can't even check to see if the original overheating problem is fixed. I would hate for what has happened to me to happen to you. BUYER BEWARE OF SAFARI SCOOTERS & CYCLES.
Took me an hour and a half just to purchase a lock for my moped. The lady at the counter ignored me for 45 min, not even a "i'll be right with you". Trying to purchase something will kill your whole afternoon. I have wasted 3 or 4 of my days there and will never go back.
