I had Ralph and Alan replace a nearly 20 year old central air unit - they've fixed it twice over the past 4-5 years, but it definitely was time to replace it. As much as I would have like to just have the A/C repaired, it wasn't a smart option.

3rd time I used S&E Standard Heating and A/C, and each time I've made a call about our A/C, the guys were good about being on time, getting the work done, and I've found their rates to be the best in the Van Nuys area - easily the most affordable option.

I called a couple of A/C places in town, but with this heat wave, they're all booked solid, so I took a chance and tried S&E - a Santa Clarita heating company that also does A/C work. I have them come out every year to clean and maintain my A/C unit, this time, Ralph had to tell me that there was more than a bit of damage and I'd be better off replacing it than fixing it. He and Alan replaced my central air unit 2 days later and the new one is great - energy star rated, I'm actually paying a bit less this year in my utility bills than I did last year.
