I always love going to Rubato. The staff always turn me on to great music and they have a killer selection of vinyl. Always my first stop in the Junction.

I thought it's cute store and enjoyed browsing there. However, the last time I was there, I was promptly told to leave the store when my cell phone rang. A very nasty man named Miles came over, pointed at me, and then, the door. I was confused. Why I was being ushered out? After realizing I got kicked out for answering my cell phone, I was furious!! It's not like I was in a library or someplace where I was a nuisance. ...but posted on their door is a ""non cell phone policy"". How snobby is that? ...GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! I can understand that people dislike cell phones, but this fascist...

Rubato is one of those rare finds that blows your mind. You can't believe you haven't heard of it before, then it dawns on you the loyals are hoarding. This place has a great selection of hard to find and not so hard to find cds, dvds and yes records, lots of them and no junk either. Painstakingly alphabetized and computerized used cds, imagine! The people that work there a super nice and very knowledgable. There are actually 2 stores, one in Wallingford. The stores seem really small but you look further they are packed with great stuff. Go!
