Dubbed the "Mediterranean version of Chipotle" by admirers, this chain fills a niche with "healthy, cheap and filling" pita-centered sandwiches, salads and platters that customers design themselves in industrial Aegean (orange-and-blue-tiled) settings; its "fast service despite the long lines" attracts office workers and others "in a rush", who rely on it for a "quick lunch."

Delicious and great value

We wandered in here today and were delighted with the fresh, vibrant and delicious food. It is self service. We had a roast chicken sandwich and a rice plate. More than enough to satisfy our hunger and all for under $20!

Great food for good price! Food was fresh and well presented. You pick whether you want a rice plate with protein and sides or wrap. I had the rice plate with rotisserie style chicken, couscous, hummus, feta and a side of bread. My husband got a wrap. Both were excellent. He isn't much of an "out of the box" type...

Had Rice plate w Chicken Roti, and toppings and sides. Overall quality of food is okay, nothing great to write home about. Hummus was good. Chicken was way too dry for them to serve.
Will look for a different place to grab lunch while at Union Station in Washington, D.C.

Just had another Best Plate Ever, or BPE, of quite decent Meditteranean for just $8.00. Four stars for always being such a great value. Great spot for lunch near the White House and Renwick Gallery.

A quick lunch in DC and we chose Roti based on a colleague's solid recommendation. Quick, easy, Chipotle type service and we ended up with rice plates with Chicken Roti and a variety of sides/sauces plus pita. For the price, this is tremendous value. The food was delicious and filling and a tad too much for this consumer for one...
