A great neighborhood place, with excellent service and food. In a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful homes just east of the Proctor District, it's a pleasant place to enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner.

I've lived 4 blocks from the Rosewood for five years. My wife and I decided to try it, and now I wish we would have visited earlier. Portions are reasonable, enough to fill, not enough to have leftovers. The menu is simple and the dished are executed well.
When we first entered the Rosewood ––years ago shortly after it opened –– we encountered an indifferent waitstaff and a manager with the social skills of Jabba the Hutt. Even though the place was almost empty, they refused to put two tables together for our larger party. We responded with a boycott (and a girlcott, too! Take that!)

I went with my husband. The food was not good. The beer was served warm. the coffee was not fresh. The dressing for my salad was putrid (Asian chicken salad). My husband's macaroni had more milk than cheese and no flavor.

Simple food nicely done in a comfortable and airy neighborhood setting. Big sandwiches and salads dominate the lunch and dinner menus. Simple entrees like mac and cheese and pot pie come out at dinner. Tasty made-in-house-made desserts. Good wine and microbrew selection.
