Lunch stop for a beautiful day

Average Rating

We popped into RO's Outpost on a beautiful spring day last week and enjoyed it. We tried a sausage sandwich and chopped beef sandwich, along with a side of jalapeno laced blackeyed peas and the fried corn. The peas were really spicy, which we loved. The corn was a 3" niblet ear that was deep-fried. The roasted flavor was good,...

Trailer for to go orders. It was better when located where "Its All Good BBQ" is now

The brisket tastes fine, but is dry and not so tender. The sides are good, especially the beans. We ate there because "It's All Good BBQ" was closed. I definitely think It's All Good BBQ is way better than either R.O.'s or Opies BBQ. In the Austin summers, it is too HOT to sit outside and eat lunch or dinner,...

Wonderful brisket, lean & flavorful. The sides are exemplary, hand breaded fried okra, jalapeño blackeyed peas, homemade potato salad, crisp & tangy coleslaw. If you call ahead, you can get an authentic chicken fried steak that will remind you of mom's. But, as great as the Bbq & sides are, save room for Kathy's pies. Baked fresh at 4am, they...

Not much has changed. My wife picked up 2 lunch plates and paid nearly $30 which I find to be expensive considering its from...
