New York's best Italian bakery, family-owned Pasticceria Rocco has been around since 1974, and we know why: their Italian pastries, cookies, gelato, and ices are always fresh and delicious, making it one of those rare species that's loved by locals and tourists alike. Signature hits: their crispy-shelled cannoli (city's best), fresh pistachio and chocolate biscotti, ricotta-filled sfogliatelle,...

You’ll most likely have to wait in line to get into Rocco’s, for its selection of almond pignoli cookies, potent babas au rhum, crunchy anise biscotti and freshly-piped cannoli is scrumptious. In addition to traditional Italian pastries, you’ll find mile-high napoleons. Villagers and shoppers like to sit at the tiny tables and enjoy cappuccinos with their treats.
