Help us make it rightYou wouldn't know it from the outside, but Roanoke Inn is the oldest business still active on Mercer Island. Inside the 85 year old establishment, the air gets a bit murky as cigarette smoke chokes out the already faint lighting, but this only makes it easier to imagine the days when trappers made this little joint their stomping ground. On warm summer days head out to the front porch and relax...
The Scene
Working stiffs and millionaires stop off at this residential location for a Blue Paddle and some friendly ambiance. The Inn has been around for almost 100 years, long before...
Well, I've been waiting to try the Roanoke and today I did. The service was reasonably fast and we did enjoy our food but sadly we were told when we got in that the seating is first come first serve. We stood by the door for a good while before we had to go ask the servers what to do. But I will say that the food was great, I had the spinach bacon salad and a glass of rose. It was nice sitting...
Great when the weather is nice and outdoors is an option. Inside is nice too, but in a laid back, broken in sense. Not very disabled friendly though.
This place is in an old house and is the perfect place to take the team after a game. We have eaten there many times. I especially love their breakfast. Dinner is good too, but really crowded. The service is friendly, but it takes a while to get a table and you will be seating yourself. If you don't mind...
I am a once-in-awhile Roanoke Inn customer. I usually go there to meet a buddy for a casual lunch and a beer. The Roanoke has a lot of historical charm. It grows out of its roadhouse past and is probably mostly more imagination and nostalgia on the part of its customers than anything real and definable. It you've been born...
I did not like it at all. Poor customer service, poor food selection, poor food taste, very noisy. $11.00 for a hamburger worse than fast food. If you ask for the ingredients or even for the brands they use they do not know.
People in Mercer Island must be desperate to go to that place. All they can enjoy is...

Built in 1914, the Roanoke Inn is the oldest operating business on Mercer Island. Originally a chicken dinner inn and eventually a hotel and weekend destination, it was adjacent to Roanoke Landing, where a ferry used to shuttle passengers between Kirkland, Leschi and Mercer Island. In 1941, the current owner's family purchased the inn and through various transformations continues to operate the...

There's an outdoor patio for enjoying Seattle's summer days with a beer in hand.
The Inn starts serving breakfast at 8am on the weekend.
