No pretense, if you're not a regular you get the once over. Definitely a place for a shot and a beer. And then another. Been there done that.

Small, very original bar/restaurant. very friendly atmosphere. You have to try the hunky platter, very traditional Slovok/Polish style food

I feel really bad saying this but, this food could be soooo much better. The stuffed cabbage was way to big and not enough sauce. The pirogue were thick and doughy. I don't know what the other stuff was, but it was very oily. The food tasted like it had been frozen for a long time. We really need a...

The Hunky Platter = very mushy dumplings w/overcooked mushy cabbage in the bland halushki, small pasty & tasteless pieroghis, and a surprisingly good stuffed cabbage. The cabbage was the only item of the three that is close to being good food. Rips is a nice, old school neighborhood bar with 4-5 tables but seriously, their food is nothing to praise...

Nice atmosphere for this style of cafe. Very friendly staff who provide excellent service. Great food with generous portions and all for a good price. Clean too!!! Hunky Platter is the way to go!!!
