They have built a new visitor's center behind the original house and often host educational events that range from interesting lectures, to films. This home of a prominent business man and educator tells ab important story about life in Tallahassee after reconstruction, following the Civil War. We enjoyed a guided stroll through the Reilly house, learning a lot about the racial problems of the past, the life of this truly inspiring man, and many other facets of life from long ago. John G. Riley was one of the most influential black men of his time, and his legacy continues into this era. While in Tallahassee, take a moment and tour this wonderful place.
