First time to New Orleans, Near convention center

I booked this hotel based on it's location near the convention center. It was very convenient to many locations---shops at the river, WW II museum ( a must see!!),and French Quarter. I was not concerned about safety.The staff were very helpful--Marcel was great with directions. Good location, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast Duane rocks the breakfast service, always hot and good to go too.
Get a room facing away from the courtyard..... Mardi Gras is busy and the rooms walls can be a little thin...so you'll hear other people partying till the wee hours.

The area and locale of the hotel was great, love me some NOLA! Hotel does a great job with the 6-7:30 pm of food and beer and wine. Sometimes even on the grills by the pool! Greta & Duane were awesome in the Breakfast area!!...went to the oldest bar in the US. Lots of restaurants within 4-6 blocks, great food...
