Unfinished and abandoned for nearly 80 years, the city's 1927 Masonic temple is now the best thing to happen to Providence's lackluster hotel scene, thanks to a $100 million renovation. The column-lined facade of the hulking building has been preserved, and while not the prettiest design—especially compared with the elegant neoclassic State House across the way—it strikes a dramatic note....

Here's a story: In the late 1920s, the Masons were building a neoclassical temple a couple of blocks west of the State House. The Masons ran out of money and construction suddenly ended, leaving the building an empty shell. There it stood for 78 years, unoccupied, a magnet for graffiti vandals and thieves. But over $100 million has transformed it into this ambitious luxury hotel, a rival to the...

Lovely facility

Average Rating

This is a beautiful facility. The room was very spacious, clean and lovely. Beds were very comfy, bathroom was gorgeous! There were plenty of towels, a robe, Aveda toiletries, and a closet that was accessible from the main room and the bathroom. My son wanted to live there! The view from our room was very nice, and the location was...

Also no breakfast included. Just mentioning this since these two things add to your overall hotel cost.
Also usually if theres any problem, hotels are willing to make things right somehow. But not this one....

Great Hotel

Average Rating

This Hotel was fantastic! The rooms were AWESOME! Queen size with incredible mattress and bedding. Well designed, appointed, and stylish rooms. The employees were great and there is dining on site. Lots of things within walking distance or stay in your awesome room and enjoy the view. I would stay here again.

Very modern interior in a classic exterior. Staff very helpful. Good location near AMTRTAK, shopping, Capitol. Stayed on 9th floor with a view of downtown. While there were many guests and some events the hotel was quiet.

Very comfortable; trendy and surprisingly quiet

A unique building adjacent to the Vets Memorial Auditorium, a short walk from the Providence Place Mall and the Capitol. We only stayed one night but were greeted very warmly and treated well and graciously.
Room was very comfortable, and I think I would even say the MOST comfortable bed that I have experienced in a hotel in years. Sheets...
