Location\n\nThis is a low quality hotel (noise, bed quality, height of ceiling) at a high quality price due to location. I don't think the tradeoff is worthwhile, especially in April.

A great resort! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owners and guests are very friendly. Covered parking (under the lodge) means no snow or ice on vehicles. Ski-in/ski-out. Great views of mountain. The worst part is having to leave.

Red Wolf is clean, convenient and welcoming. Easy access to ski runs and Squaw Valley Village. Covered parking. Day use facility if you are skiing the day of departure. Video library available. Full kitchen. Why 3 stars? Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Our room faced ski area. NOISY.

Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley is perfect any time of year, but winter is when it really shines. Located at the base of the mountain near the Alpine Village, this ski-in/ski-out resort offers easy access to the slopes. After a full day of skiing, nothing beats a long soak in the rooftop hot tub, except maybe falling asleep snug in your bed!.
