My only issue was after sitting for awhile with a group of friends having a great time and some drinks we were asked to leave our table so that they could use the floor as a dance floor. While visiting my daughter in Boston(BU) from New York City, I took her and her roommate to the Red Lantern for dinner. The food was outstanding and the restaurant was beautiful. Hard to please a New Yorker, but it did and we will definitely go back! The girls even loved the music!
The prices seemed expensive but the portions were huge and the food was delicious! Our food was delivered within 10 minutes of ordering, which was around 6:15 on a Friday evening. The place was not very full but began to get busy after 7:00. I would return on a Saturday to check out the live DJ and dancing.
Our server Patrick was very polite and helpful, and he made sure that we could get to the theatre on time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Our only complaint was that the Perfect Manhattans we ordered (half dry and half sweet vermouth) were drier than we like. In fairness, we did not ask to have it corrected, due to time constraints.
