This Middle Eastern eatery has "been in the South End for decades" (the original incarnation was established in 1940), providing an "ever-changing" roster of "cheap", "delicious" small plates plus a "fully stocked bar"; live music and belly dancing in the ornately decorated Moroccan-themed dining room on weekends add to the experience.

I want to love this place; the outdoor area is nice, the crowd is welcoming, the music from the good old days makes me smile. However, I am not sure why, but twice when I've been there on my own, both relatively quiet afternoons, I could not get a waiter to serve me until I literally had to wave someone over. Other parties around me had snacks and nibbles and cocktails, I could not get even eye...
