Red Door Restaurant and Bar is true to its name and welcomes everyone with open arms. The fusion menu seems to offer something for everyone, and includes dishes like tempura, schnitzel, and lamb neck sloppy joes. With a specialty beer and wine list and its large patio area and great interior, the Red Door is a great place to have a meal and a drink with friends. -Sylvia Barragan
Fans say there's "something charming" about this Bucktown gastropub where the "huge", "phenomenal" beer garden provides a "tranquil" place to sample from the "solid beer list", craft cocktail menu or group-friendly array of Eclectic small plates; the wood-trimmed interior is roomy too, and prices won't break the bank.
Chef Troy Graves (Eve), with partners Christopher Peckat and Fei Tang, took over this recognizable corner spot in Bucktown --- now even more distinctive due to its red door. Dimly lit by candles and a red neon sign, the cozy interior is ideal for sipping the bourbon-based cocktails. Graves offers an eclectic menu with cool combinations like roasted bone marrow and escargots, lamb neck and...

We stopped at Red Door Tavern on a Thursday, and had no problems getting a seat at the bar. The six drinks on their coctail list are each unique in their own way - plus, the ginger beer and sasparella soda are made on site! The taste is quite unique. Nice selection of whiskey too. The menu features an assortment of small plates ( asparagus with egg, gnocchi, pork belly ) in addition to a few...
