This Downtown "favorite" has "tons of character", from its setting loaded with Texana oddities to its "enticing" Southwestern menu featuring game dishes and a much-celebrated burger at lunch; most don't mind the "loud", "crowded" environs and find that "witty service", occasional live music and a terrace only add to the "fun", plus it's "walking distance to other bars too."

Ranch 616 Restaurant Review

Ranch 616 is Texas diner-gone-designer with shiny black booths, a leather bar and funky Southwestern art. The permanent menu and eclectic nightly specials reflect the background of talented owner-chef Kevin Williamson, who grew up in south Texas enjoying fishing, game hunting and cooking home-style food. In this case it adds a slice of the surreal to a transformed bordertown cantina. There are 20+ tequilas available for savoring with Southwestern-infused fish and meat. For a morning of connect-the-dots, stick with the Ranch Tinis,...

Inside, cowboy kitsch, 1950s diner decor, and Mexican folk art mingle, as do workers from the nearby county offices, local movers and shakers,...
