Just got and get a salad and you'll be happy. Nothing else
on the menu is worth paying for, you can probably cook it at home.

I go because it's convenient, but it's not really worth
a special trip.

When I think about it, I'm never sure why I go to Rainbow Cafe
so much. Its food isn't super (they do good salads, but that's
about all I ever have there) which are admittedly huge, but the
food, which is standard american food, is expensive.

The restaurant isn't really a "cafe." You're
not there for the coffee. It's a little restaurant.

The food is top quality and the atmosphere is casual comfort! You must try the Rasberry Chicken Explosion - it's a medly of delicious flavors and colors! The chocolate cheesecake is another favorite of mine, topped with in season berries it's a delight to the senses. There is a vegan freindly side that tempts the tasts buds of all. Love the restaurant and the service is always with a smile!

Rainbow Cafe has huge portions and their food is unique and tasty! We go there at least once a month and share one of their huge cookies!

i love this restaurant they also deliver around the Downtown New Haven area the y offer huge portions at great prices and ther food is well presented. I love it .Bee

This downstairs nook seems unimpressive at first, decorated with Pepto-Bismol pink walls and hand-painted stencils, but upon closer exam you see massive servings of breakfast burritos, burgers, grilled sandwiches, salads and sinful desserts being whisked around the room, crowded with students and business people.
