Green paint, a leprechaun logo, and an Irish name does not an Irish pub make

Having just recently moved to the Buffalo area for graduate school, I've been looking for a good Irish pub. I'm not looking for the pseudo commercialized American-Irish pub, but somewhere I can get traditional Irish food and a pint of Guinness. Rafferty's wasn't it. For a place billing itself as an Irish pub, there were a few things lacking from what I was looking for.

1. There was no traditional Irish food
2. It wasn't a pint.
3. It wasn't Guinness.
3a. It was Murphy's, so at least an Irish beer, but not as good, in my humble opinion.
