Prego's Pasta House Restaurant Review

Prego’s serves big portions of familiar Italian dishes in a cozy room where the Christmas lights shimmer all year. The square-shaped pizzas, thin-crusted and crisp and generously topped with vegetables and meats, are a local favorite. Be sure to try a pie pelted with homemade Italian sausage. House-made meatballs---juicy and richly flavored---are a knockout and can also be ordered à la carte....

Solid Italian restaurant.  I have tried several dishes and have liked the great majority of them.  I really like the fried provolone, the chicken marsala, the chicken parmigiana, etc., but my favorite item might be the crab claws.  I have always received good service here too.

I always receive exceptional service. I really love the crab claws. We always order the essence with our bread. I've ordered several items on the menu, and they were all decent. There are so many menu items, and I'm still working on finding my favorite dish. I like the complimentary valet, and access to the restaurant is fairly easy. I'll definitely be going back.

I've lived in Dallas for about 18 years now and just started going to Prego's within the last year or so. It's been around since long before I moved here. We used to go to Aboca all the time for veal. But, Aboca changed hands a year or so ago and the veal is not very good there anymore. So,...

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. It's so delicious, not too heavy, and has such a friendly staff. Reasonably priced with dinner entrees averaging $15 (less for pasta, more for steak). Amazing bread. Definitely eat here!

Seriously, not kidding. The food here is amazing. Just like my grandmother's. Service is always friendly. Open late. We generally go a couple times a month and the food is consistently delicious. Give it a try! Love the 'family feel'.

Hearty portions of Italian standards and pizzas keep folks coming back to Prégo.

Great Italian food at reasonable prices. Some items not on menu can be prepared to special order.

Be sure to try our homemade Italian sausage or take some home for the family.

We also make a delicious thin crust pizza prepared to order. If you want your pizza to go, we'll be happy to partially cook the crust and...

We can't promise you that Prego has the best Italian food in Dallas, but we can attest that it's been around forever. (Well, almost.) Jim Barraco Sr. opened the original location in 1951. The customers who come to this family-operated restaurant are loyal for life.
