Prasino Restaurant Review

We’ll start by saying this place is big --- really big. And ambitious. Taking a “green” approach --- the stylish interior is carved from recycled materials --- the menu aims high as well. The focus, really, is on organic fare, and it’s served via three meals daily. To those acclimated with more sophisticated eats, the menu may seem pedestrian. Still, we liked the hand-plucked forest mushroom...

"Bold flavors" define the "extensive", "innovative" American menu at this midpriced duo in Wicker Park and suburban La Grange (with a newer Rosemont third), where the "green theme" (‘prasino' is Greek for green) extends from the "locally sourced" ingredients and organic wines to the "modern", eco-friendly surroundings highlighting reclaimed materials; "friendly, polite" servers add to the...

Food was bland and overdone, not at all worth the price. Will not go back.

We had a great time going for lunch. It was a get together with my Mom and relatives that I hadn't seen in a long time . A ladies lunch. The food was great and our waitress Alice was excellent. It was first time I had been there. I look forward to going again

We met friends for a Sunday brunch. Glad that we made reservations ahead of time on open table. It was busy. Food was excellent - we had a variety of choices, my omelette was wonderful. Very filling, could not finish. There was a mix up with only having egg whites in one of the omelettes due to an allergy but other than that we were all very pleased with our meal, ambiance and service. Thanks,

Prasino is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. However, server was un knowledgeable, distracted, frustrated and unprofessional. Took her forever to take our order. And Thanks to the other servers not just myself, but all other tables she had were able to get our food. Unfortunately, food was cold. Didn't want to send it back because I didn't know how long it would take her to fix it...

Service was great. Food was surprisingly disappointing. We've had good experiences dining at Prasino in the past, especially for breakfast. Our dinner, both dishes were over-salted.
