Before saying ‘bravo' next door at Studio Theatre, practice saying "buono" at this "delicious" but "pricey" Italian near Logan Circle, a spin-off of Penn Quarter's Tosca; the "open, bright" "contemporary" digs "can get noisy", but "quality" service and a pre-theater menu help keep it a before-curtain "favorite."
Now that the Obama administration has anointed this breezy, classic Italian kitchen its new power-dining palace, keep one eye on the door in case the attorney general or White House political adviser comes popping in for a piece of wood-fired picante pizza. If spicy salami isn't your thing, the array of salads are convincing evidence that Italian food need not be carbohydrate-centric. The...
Posto is located along a theater-filled stretch of 14th Street ( Studio Theatre is right next door), so it's a popular spot for the theater-bound, especially since Posto has become rather expert at feeding them quickly and sending them off fat and happy. As those patrons exit stage left, new ones quickly fill the room in their place. It's a big room, too, with a lot going on: a couple of long...
Milan arrives in the gayborhood clutching a slim patent leather suitcase, wearing fabulous yet affordable shoes. Primo task at hand: overcome bad mojo of failed former establishment Viridian. New owners dim the lights, add a hundred slick chairs and surrealist wall art (ooh, sunflowers!) Logan boys in Lucky jeans love the slender pizza, the sexy octopus salad and the sultry vino. At last,...
Every time we go to Posto food and service gets better, and better.
Posto offers many tasty Italian dishes as well as great PIZZA! Their wine list is also a good reason to stop in for a quick bite or a leisurely dinner... Service is excellent. We go there often.
4 of us all thoroughly enjoyed our meal - from steak to pasta to fish. Even the desserts were delicious.
Four of us dined at Posto before going to Studio Theater. We all had something different - ravioli, tagliatelle, pizza and fish. All the dishes were well proportioned and well seasoned. The service was polite, timely and not intrusive. It's a great place to eat pre theater and anytime.
Had another great dinner at Posto. Service was very pleasant and food amazing.
