Who goes to Baldwin Hills for fancy dining? Famed chef (and Inglewood native) Govind Armstrong is betting you will. Gleaning many of their ingredients from the South Central Farmers Cooperative, the Crenshaw Famers Market and their very own garden in the middle of the restaurant, Post & Beam are bringing something fresh, both literally and figuratively to the neighborhood. Dishes combine Southern and California influences, like the crispy cast iron natural chicken and and sticky little ribs. Wash it down with one of the local beers on tap. Look out restaurants in the 90210 - there's a new...

Dreadlocked chef Govind Armstrong is behind this midpriced American in chain restaurant–heavy Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza featuring "soul food with a modern twist" with an "awesome signature short-rib sandwich" plus pizzas; expect a "cool vibe", a patio for "evening summer hangouts" and a full bar with a small-plates menu that's perfect after work.

Adding to the rebirth of Crenshaw Plaza shopping mall, this restaurant from the guys who brought you BLT Steak and Morton's offers a casual dining spot as an alternative to some of the neighborhood's more unoriginal fare. Expect a heavy emphasis on fresh: An onsite garden paired with locally sourced ingredients keeps the wood-burning oven stuffed with pizzas, and its main dishes like short ribs...

Post & Beam Restaurant Review

Former "Iron Chef" contestant Govind Armstrong found Hollywood success with Table 8 and 8 oz. Burger Bar. Now, with partner Brad Johnson (BLT Steak), he has created a soulful, farm-to-table spot in Baldwin Hills that draws foodies from all over town for seasonal California cuisine with a savory Southern accent. It’s easy to relax in the airy, modern dining room or on the rustic patio edged by a...

Things are smoking at this mall-adjacent casual spot -- almost everything goes through the woodfire oven. Pizzas aren't too soft or flaky.

The catfish and pork chop entrees were both excellent. The manager and staff are wonderful. The brusselsprouts and squash side were delicious. We really, really enjoy coming here but note that it can be loud sometimes so if you want a quiet dinner sit on the patio.

Great restaurant! Such a needed addition to this area of town. Great menu that foodies will enjoy with something good for everyone. Love the soul-full undercurrent of the selections mixed with thoughtful chef decisions. Yummy cocktails, and nice staff. Food and drinks were a little slow given that it wasn't very busy, but they were worth the wait!

One of the best meals we've had in a while. Organic fried chicken with a little heat and a side of greens, catfish with a side of Brussels sprouts and shrimp and grits. Our server, Foster, was knowledgeable and delightful. We'll be back.

delicious food, but overpriced for what it is. Brunch service took too long, portions are small and prices are high. EVERYTHING is extra, even a slice of toast. It's not a fine dining establishment, it's a restaurant in a mall. Outdoor seating area is nice though and i can't fault the service.

Farm to table restaurant in Baldwin Hills. Excellent burrata with smoked almonds and fennel. Pork chop smoky and juicy. Service is friendly.
