Ponderosa Golf Course is the only publicly owned course in the Truckee area! It is highly maintained and managed by Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District. Early tee time so grass and greens were wet but as the morning wore on it dried up and was a great day. Greens are slow but to be expected this time of year

Pretty course, tucked away in the trees at first and then opens up. 9 hole course without much (if any) water hazards. No stunning picturesque views but a really pretty course, in very good condition and a great "feeling" course. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I look forward to playing this course again.

If you are new at the game and intimidated by the big courses around town, then drive up to Truckee to this course. The land is flat, well lined with trees, and there are only nine holes for you to perfect your game. This course is lots of fun, and novices will really enjoy it.
