Non-Chinese just wouldn't "get" this place. Already opened for 30+ years, they're really well-known all over town. Sure you can buy $0.30 noodles at HK Supermarket, but that's not why ppl shop here. When you want real deal groceries like dried scallops/mushrooms, meds etc. you're buying quality here. They're PACKED all the time, so you know their inventory turn is fast. Miserable & Gloomy & NO Selection on food. OVERPRICED

After visting here for the first. The ouytside of the building looks nice. But the inside. Well that's a whole different story. This place is gloomy & filled with old MISERABLE people. Feels like im in a hospital or at a cementary. The place has a pungent reaky with ginseng probably poisonous & NOT FDA approved. Just a few lines with many fakes I bet. After going there for the first time. I come to the conclusion, its better to shop at Hong Kong Supermarket or Kam Man on Canel St. This place as no selection & everything is waay OVERPRICED! Not to mention all the gloomy miserable old people. Reminds me of the hospital or cementary. Not good. Thats like the last place I like to be at. I say hold your breath, DONT waste your time & keep on walking.
