Help us make it rightA good friend recommended pleasant pools to me. They had nothing but nice things to say about this company. However, my experience with this company is completely opposite. They don’t care about the customer. I used them the first time this summer. They opened my pool (which normally takes a few hours) the guy left after and hour leaving my pool a swamp green. I asked when someone would be back to finish he responded a 2 days. A week went by with no one coming to finish. I had to call over and over to get someone out here to do the job that was should have been done a week before. That was the last time I saw ANYONE from this company. I have called over and over and no one has come to clean since. Not that they cleaned it well the first time. Only half my pool was actually cleaned. The deeper part was still a dark green. Now it’s been about a month with no one showing to clean if and my pool and become a complete swamp. It’s disgusting. How can this company stay in business and treat their clients like they are a nothing. My hope is that someone reads this and looks else where for a company that will actually care about the client and treat then with respect, because pleasant pools does NOT! Unfortunately I can’t just leave it at that and submit my review. I need to give a star. So my star means absolutely NOTHING. my true rating of this company is ZERO STARS.
I visited Pleasant Pools to see their Christmas Shop. I grew up in Chester, NJ and have shopped at and known Pleasant Pools my whole life. I enjoyed speaking with the owner's daughter who was helpful and inviting. I fully intended of buying ornaments that reminded me of my childhood in Chester. I was looking at a glass ornament on display and turned around the price tag to see the cost - $25. A women (who I now know is the owner) came up to me and said in a condescending tone meant for a 5 year old - "please don't touch the ornaments. That's how they break you know." I'm a 49 year old woman, dressed nicely, looking to buy and wanting to see the price. Good gosh. I left the store immediately and called the store to note my displeasure. The owner ranted on about "just last week, a customer broke...." She would not listen to a word from me so I hung up on her. I cannot imagine that in today's world this store can stay in business with such rude, dismissive and horrible customer service. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Don't let the poor reviews from the few angry customers mislead you, Pleasant Pools is one of the few businesses left in the area that will do everything possible to satisfy their customers. The staff for the most part is very knowledgeable and eager to offer assistance, while their service department is reliable and effective. They will test your pool water for free and let you know exactly which chemicals to add to your swimming pool. The prices may be slightly higher than at discount big box stores (think Target or Costco) but that's only because they only deal with the highest quality manufacturers. If you live in Morris County and you're in need of pool chemicals or patio furniture make sure to check out Pleasant Pools, the staff there will be happy to help you out.
I've had several problems dealing with this company. I chose them because I like to support family businesses and I also liked the fact that they have been around for a while. However, I am very disappointed in their lack of support to customers. In specifically, I have a pool cover that tore at the seams. I paid a lot of money to Pleasant Pools for this automatic cover and now that I am having a problem with it, they have told me to go elsewhere to fix the problem, they will not service it. This is down right shameful. I've given them good business opening and closing our pool every summer so I thought myself a valued customer. This is no way to treat your clients. Everyone is very nice when you are ordering and paying, but once they have your money, they don't seem to care. Go elsewhere. Pleasant Pools won't be there for you when you need them.
