Came to visit to find some information from the staff regarding my grandparents as Aurora was their 'home town' for many years. Staff very helpful. It was a treat to then tour the museum. It is very nicely designed and furnished. One will leave with a deeper understanding of the life and accomplishments of the pioneers. All indoors which is...

Fascinating and very educational!! Throughly enjoyed learning about the history of the area, the in-house built town is amazing with displays. The Agricultural Museum at the back cross the street was fantastic also!!

Great stop off I80

What a great stop along I80! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside of the buildings hold historic gems; very well designed. The main building is air conditioned, and the outside buildings are surprisingly naturally cool.

This museum is all indoors unlike other area pioneer museums. From the floor to the ceiling lots of artwork. The floor is a mosaic planned by a local representing history. The ceiling is painted beautifully. The town shops are very authentic with lots! to see. Doll, cane, toy & glass collections are just a few of the things to see....

Great Impression of Pioneer Nebraska

We've visited many museums in Nebraska and come back to this one again and again as our children grew. It's timeless and education but set up in such a very interesting fashion...especially the early Nebraska town complete with a bank, jailhouse, general store, doctor's office (a little graphic! ;-) ) and several houses...ALL inside a temperature controlled building. Highly recommend.
