My husband likes to photograph old buildings. It was a nice place to do that and see what Florida used to be like. Enjoyed viewing the old buildings that had been moved onto the property and restored. Not really an exciting place for young children.

Low key living museum run by volunteers, that displays an interesting collection of artifacts in a selection of relocated historic buildings. Worth visiting if in the area.

Visited this the other day, 2/18/2015, and had a fairly interesting tour. At the time we visited we (three of us) were the only visitors there. The Pioneer Settlement for the Creative Arts features a folk museum with demonstrations of pioneer lifestyles and farm animals. Plus, has a picnic area.

Nestled on approximately 25 acres of beautiful land, this unique cultural history and education site features many buildings that date from the early 1900s and the settlement exhibits depict the lifestyle of early settlers.

Housed in the Old Central School of Barberville, this ten acre area portrays the lifestyle of early Florida settlers through displays that depict the arts and crafts from the past. The settlement includes collections of folk art, an authentic log cabin, and blacksmithing, woodworking, and pottery shops.
