Pino is like no other butcher in the city! the service is impeccable, the cuts are perfection and the quality of meat is nothing short of outstanding. The guys are funny and charming. This spot is neighborhood gold. I often have to make french dishes which can take hours and top quality meat is essential to its success - trust me if you have not already tried Pino's..GO.

Defining New York's best butcher is a matter of picking your criterion. For value I would take Biancardi in the Bronx, for selection, Cobble Hill's Los Paisanos, for lamb and veal Astoria's International Meat Market, and for steak Lobel's. My go to butcher.While I obviously love his cuts, I think the thing that separates pino are his sausages, pinwheels, braccioles, and other italian specialties.Also his pre-pattied bacon and cheese burger are out of this world.I was literally a tail-gate god this past season showing up with 10 skewered pinwheels from pinos every week.
