Families swarm to this midpriced Chinese chain that plates "inventive" (some say "Americanized") eats, like its signature lettuce wraps plus gluten-free and vegetarian selections, in an "airy" setting "right out of the movies"; though cantankerous types feel they're "shouting at their dinner partners" and quibble with "commercial" fare and just–"ok" service, it's always "crowded" nonetheless.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro Restaurant Review

Third Street Promenade wouldn’t be complete without this venerable gourmet Chinese food chain. The Santa Monica location is the slowest and most honerery.very slow service. They always keep one or 2bartenders that are really slow and have own agenda. You always feel like they are stressed out and that you are a BURDON. Yet they pride themselves in great service.

The service at this location was absolutely unacceptable and my concerns were not properly addressed. Arriving at 12:45PM I made my order before 12:50PM. My order included an appetizer chicken satay, lunch portion Mongolian beef with egg drop soup, fried rice, and a Sprite. Upon first greeting I …
