By far, this is the WORST chinese restaurant I .have ever eaten at! Even the wonton soup was flavorless. The broth was salted water. The main meal was tasteless. Very bland. I love Chinese food, but after eating at Pearl River, I could go the rest of my life without Chinese. The meal was horrible and we did not finish the food it was so bad. The egg rolls were extremely salty and everything we ordered had mostly onions. We ordered the food for pick-up and I was extremely surprised when my credit card statement came and the restaurant added a 20% tip for a carry-out order. Not only did we pay for terrible food, but we paid a tip for a carry-out order. I have not eaten at Pearl River for almost 18 years (when the food use to be good) and I will not ever return.

I got takeout Chinese yesterday at Pearl River in Northwood. I had to remind them of an item they left out before I paid. So I used my card to pay and left the tip area blank. In the total area I wrote 26.74, which was the total. I see on my card today they took out 5 bucks for auto tip. Grrr.... I will be talking to the bank on this one. 20 % tip on takeout?

This is one of Northwood's best kept secrets! They have THE BEST food! I have eaten at this chinese restraunt since I was eight years old. My parents used to order from there all the time and now I do. My favorite thing is their Chicken Fried Rice. The rice has a buttery-ness to them and their egg rolls are to die for!
