Located in Downtown St. Paul, the award-winning Pazzaluna Restaurant & Bar specializes in serving authentic Italian food with style and sophistication.
Bustling beneath its silver moons, Pazzaluna delivers big upscale fun. An open kitchen offers diners the chance to see hand-tossed pizza flying through the air before they enter the wood-fired oven. Another bit of theatrics is the sliced New York steak served with peppercorns, arugula and rosemary, which arrives sizzling and is carved tableside. Pazzaluna's menu is exhaustive, so it's hard not...
A floor-to-ceiling mural of the face of Botticelli's Venus overlooks this artfully designed trattoria, which manages to be busy and tranquil at once. Pazzaluna stakes its reputation on innovative dishes such as the fritto misto (fried calamari and vegetable strips) but brings panache to standards like handmade fettuccine in a Bolognese meat sauce.
This upscale restaurant in the heart of downtown St. Paul serves authentic Italian dishes in a sophisticated urban setting. The interior is one of rich earth tones, revamped Roman columns, and a vivid mural here and there, while little nooks and high-backed booths allow for quiet conversations. Mix and match pasta or gnocchi with half a dozen sauces, or try the lobster ravioli, scallops with...

As usual, we had a wonderful dinner and great service!
Great food and service! We are a family of four (kids ages 8 and 11). Highly recommend.
The appetizers were great. Both main courses we ordered, however, were very lackluster. Lasagna with no taste and gnocchi that was under-cooked and also lacked flavor. Very disappointing given the prices.
Wonderful meal. Nice wine selection. We were at a table with a nice view. We had a variety of food from the red fish special to pizza and every dish was wonderful.
Didn't like the empty glasses on the ledge behind our table. We were in the back by the kitchen and that made it feel a bit like our table was in s storage area rather than the main dining room.

Pazzaluna, the 'Crazy Moon', is the premier Italian restaurant, bar & event space in the heart of downtown St. Paul. Reservations: (651) 223-7000
Pazzaluna, which means Crazy Moon in Italian, is a restaurant and bar, serving dinner only. Valet parking is available.
Know Before You Go: Under a new chef in early 2009, Pazzaluna's famous menu got a bit of a makeover. Many of the same hearty and delicious entrees are still on offer, like walleye pike and filet mignon. But added is some lighter fare and always-delicious risottos, like the asparagus risottos drizzled with truffle oil.
What to Drink: Pazzaluna is known for its extensive wine collection, which includes more than 60 reds, from Barbera to Dolceta. But those looking for more go for the Rose di Pesca martini, which is infused with peach bitters and a touch of tarragon simple syrup.
Save Time: It's a good idea to make a reservation. Events at the Ordway or Xcel have a way of suddenly filling the tables.
The Extras: May through September, Pazzaluna features an outdoor dining patio that's great for soaking in the sun and people watching.
Happy Hour: Enjoy happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm till 6pm and again from 9pm till 10pm when taps, ultimate martinis and cosmos and the restaurant's famous margherita pizza are all half-price.
