Never met Dr Schecter. Called to make an appointment, and was told that they wouldn't schedule an appointment until they got a referral. I told her that my doctor had sent a referral. She said " we never got it": I called my doctor. The referral had been sent six weeks earlier. I called back and she denid that she had received the referral. Then she looked me up and said " Oh wait, its here" ...

I had a colonoscopy by Dr Schechter in 09/2018 and he left two polyps in as he started 1 1/2 late so he didn't have time. Instead, he sent me for a Cat- Scan to get a baseline of the polyps so that in 2 years I have another C-Scan instead of removing the pre-cancerous polyps. The 2 he removed were pre-cancerous. So I went to another Doc a month after I found out. The other Doc removed 7...

Dr. Schechter is professional yet has the best bed side manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone with any Gastro issues.

Dr. Schechter has been my doctor for about 25 years. He welcomes you with a big smile and a handshake. He is very empathetic, takes all the time needed and thoroughly explains everything he will be doing. He is also conservative and does not rush to surgery unless needed. His follow up is great. It is not easy to go to any doctor for coco/rectal problems so I think he stands out in the crowd....
