I've seen people complain about the office staff, but my focus is on the fact that Dr. Steifel is one of the kindest and knowledgeable physicians I have ever had do surgery for me. After a really bad experience with another surgeon I had to have a abdominal hernia repair and he did an excellent job in July 2016. I would highly recommend Dr. Steifel.

He does not make himself available for follow up appointment. I waited 2 hrs and left for another doctors appointment. I called to reschedule. I was put on hold for 7 minutes and a very rude person could only get me in a week later. I'm going to my pcp to check me over. It would only take him 3 minutes but couldn't work me in.

Great surgeon, great guy. Dr. Stiefel performed two surgeries on me in March, 2017. After the the second, six and a half hour surgery, Dr. Stiefel told me that the operation had taken quite a toll on him too although he didn't phrase it quite as genteel as that. I just completed a 23 day stay at USMD in Arlington, TX. which included two surgeries. Dr. Smith did not participate in the first surgery but he did cover the rounds for one of his partners who did perform the surgery. Dr.Stiefel was the surgeon for my husband's gall bladder removal. During our consultation he took his time and explained everything to us in detail. On the day of surgery he was very informative and nice, my husband surgery was a success. I highly recommend him.
