Our History The Paper Discovery Center opened its doors to the public in late February of 2005. An arm of the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame, Inc., the Paper Discovery Center first began to take form in 1999. It was in that year that Kimberly-Clark Corporation donated its former Atlas Mill on the banks of the Fox River in Appleton, WI, to the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame...
All of our kids ages 5,6,10, and 13 really liked our visit there. Making paper was so fun I couldn't resist and had to make some myself! It was a very affordable afternoon trip.

With over 10,000 sq. ft. of display space, the Paper Discovery Museum has plenty of exhibits on the history and production of paper, as well as interactive exhibits on science and technology. Art displays are also featured in the museum, including paper mache creations.
