Picked up a couple of potted plants from this place. One for my living room, around $50, another for my upstairs bath, $12!!! The good news is they're both so unusual looking, they make my house look really well put together.

The people who work there are super useful too. Good advice on lighting situations and making sure my plants will thrive. Thank you!

Guerrero Street Gardens and The Palm Broker (their adjoining sister-store) have great plants and trees - everything from tiny cactuses for your desk to enormous palm trees for your private island. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and if you have a black-thumb (like me) they'll plant your flowers and trees for you. [Full disclosure: some of my family members work there.]

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they rotate their stock pretty well. They have an awfully unique collection which will let you get rather creative with your gardening.
They're a touch pricy, but not bad, especially considering their location.
Best part is their selection of organic soils and fertilizers. I strongly recommend checking this place out at least once.
