I needed a decently priced hotel on short notice close to the medical center, after reading reviews I booked here. We've stayed at 3,4,5 star hotels in bigger chains in Houston but the palace by far is the cleanest and nicest of them. For the price, it is a good deal. All other hotels I looked at (houston area), were extremely expensive and you have to also pay to park your car (and no breakfast).
