“Real Philadelphia tradition” lives on at this “modern rustic” Rittenhouse fish house under “third-generation” ownership by the Mink family, whose stock in trade is “unpretentious but perfectly presented seafood” and a “bustling” raw bar where you can “get your master’s in oysternomics” at “buck-a-shuck happy hours”; there’s “good service even when busy”, and “except for the Philly accents, you...
With third-generation restaurateur Sam Mink at the helm, the reconceived Oyster House offers a different bar configuration, a large central raw bar and a terrific menu of fresh seafood with offerings of raw clams and oysters to house…

Sansom Street knows everything there is to know about oysters -- where they come from, how their flavors differ, and how to prepare them. Second time I've been here for dinner and both times did not disappoint.
The quality and preparation of each dish is perfect. This night we had fresh salad, 3 selection of fresh oysters, fish stew, grilled bluefish and sauteed sole. All were delicious.
For dessert...

The restaurant's raw bar is famous for its fresh assortment of oysters and clams and the ever-evolving menu has an excellent wine list to go complement it. The interiors are laid back, with the owner's collection of vintage oyster plates donning the brick walls.
