Oscars Cafe is located at 18 Town Plaza in Durango, Colorado (Between South City Market, Kroegers Ace Hardware, AND Rite Aid).
We specialize in homemade meals in a unique All-American Diner style cafe. We are family owned and operated for 30 years in the same location. We offer many local products like Sunnyside Farms meats and some Sundown Bakery Bread.

Loved the quaintness of this cafe. It felt like a mom and pop cafe that I always long for when traveling. The omelet (veggie) was great. Also got one pancake that was bigger than the plate and delicious. Good coffee. Fantastic atmosphere. Made us feel like a local.
Our breakfast was ok but certainly nothing special (so if this is indeed the best breakfast in Durango, well....). My fried eggs & fruit were good; toast was Sunbeam brand (really?) & tasted like soft cardboard. The sausage sampler special: eggs good, 4 different types of sausage tasted the same & were equally greasy, the 'home-made' hashbrowns looked very much...
Local favorite. Narrow isles made up by good food. In strip mall. Worth the visit.

Local people will tell you that Oscar's Café serves the best breakfast in Durango.
It has a massive menu covering everything that ayone could think of ordering and the portions are just as big.
The waitresses are great as well and keep coming back to make sure everything is good and bringing more coffee too.
Due to the price of a lunch meal, we would have spent less at a fast food restaurant. The food was only mediocre. The waitress was excellent. We will not eat there again.
