New hostess needed

Showed up with a reservation confirmed by phone, only to have to restate it to the very argumentative hostess. Who implied their error was my fault. Still a good fish fry, but there are so many of those in the area, don't plan on going back. New management is the downfall of one of our favorite spots.

The ribs were all fat and the shrimp although plump had no flavor. The waitress said that the owner would talk to us and decided he did not want too. Really too bad since I was going to plan a 65th anniversary party but will not. Too bad that it has gone so far down in quality

Like walking into old supper club

Open Hearth was like walking into an old supper club, like Mannings, or Le Sabre in Milwaukee. The bar was nice and bartender made good drinks. Food was very nice, had steaks and they were good, not exceptional, but good. Very dark in there though, could up the lighting so you can read menu's.

The restaurant is best known for its large open dining room and cozy fireplace. Regular customers say that they like the cocktails here, and the staff says that the eatery is a great local value.
